The Cult Club digs into the deepest layers of the Amsterdam ground and excavates its ceramic core. The six thousand year old clay, which seems useless, in fact holds exciting possibilities for artists Joost Benthem and Emmeline de Mooij, who will open the temporary Museum of Mud in 2012, providing a source of inspiration for their unconventional art work. The Amsterdam artists, De Mooij and Benthem, use mud as a medium for their installations, serigraphs and performances. The Cult Club displays their latest action using this ancient medium.

De volgende Cult Club zal niet zoals gewoonlijk plaatsvinden op 1800 Roeden. Nee, dit keer zoekt de Cult Club letterlijk en figuurlijk de grenzen op en reist de Cult Club af naar Keulen om zich daar op Blooom: The creative industries art show kenbaar te maken. Niet alleen het hele Cult Club team is aanwezig, ook Karel Goudsblom vergezelt ons met zijn installatie/performance All of This. De artKitchen gallery heeft op de Zuidvleugel, E07 een Wunderkammer (een rariteitenkabinet) met werken van Idiots, Cedric Laquieze, Anne ten Donkelaar, Uli Rapp, Christiaan Zwanikken en Kate McDowell. Met speciale aandacht aan de recente publicatie Punk in Holland.

Wie afgelopen vrijdag de Cult Club Punk avond heeft gemist, krijgt donderdag 13 oktober een herkansing op de Cult Club Punk Film-avond!

P * U * N * K * in HOLLAND This month the Cult Club is devoted to Punk in Holland. This edition will be hosted and housed by the artKitchen and Gallery A, who are also collaborating on the same publication. What do you do when you have no home and no job and you get depressed from boredom? You become annoyed by your situation. The best way to express your annoyance is through demonstrations, art, music and text, because "anger is an energy" and there, the best art can be found.

Amsterdam International Fashion Week is net voorbij, maar hét mode-event van 2011 moet nog komen: Cult Club Prêt à Couture.Vrijdag 26 augustus 2011 vanaf 17.00 zal de Cult Club in het teken staan van de ontwikkeling in de Nederlandse mode van Haute Couture tot Prêt à Porter.

Al jaren staat ARTkitchen Gallery bekend om haar unieke en spraakmakende activiteiten. Wij organiseren met liefde dit ook op aanvraag. Vergadering, productpresentatie of verjaardagsfeest zal bij ARTkitchen Gallery onvergetelijk worden. De mogelijkheden zijn oneindig: kunstperformances, lezingen, muziek optredens en/of kunstzinnige culinaire feesten. Wij staan open voor veel ideeën en denken graag met u mee om uw evenement om te toveren tot een unieke en spetterende beleving!

windowsOn… is an exciting creative event organised by Seahorse Creative Hullabaloo, where original artwork will be displayed as a permanent exhibition for one year in the courtyard of Sumo on Braunstone Gate, Leicester. The event is organised by Seahorse in association with Soft Touch and Art for Change, with support from Entropy, FD2D and Leicester City Council. Proceeds from the event will go to Seahorse Creative Hullabaloo who host events to raise funds for local organisations supporting those living with MS.

Een groep kinderen tussen 5 en 12 jaar heeft samen met kunstenaar Karel Goudsblom in de kerstvakantie (29 en 30 december 2010) in Osdorp hun eigen droomhuis gekleid. Twee dagen lang stond locatie ‘De Wachter’ in Osdorp vol met bruisende jonge creatieven die tezamen een grote droomstad van klei hebben neergezet.

Gered Gereedschap vroeg donateurs om een bijzondere bijdrage aan de feestelijke opening van haar nieuwe kantoor: versier een overall voor de modeshow, en laat die veilen voor het goede doel, diverse naaimachineprojecten in Ghana.

Na de opening op 23 oktober begon de eerste activiteit van Lokaal Bazar in de oude Eendrachtsparkbuurt in Geuzenveld. Dit initiatief is gestart om de laatste maanden voor de sloop de buurt leefbaar te houden. De activiteiten hebben allemaal een link met afval en het hergebruik ervan.
